How to Apply

Our online application process has been designed to be quick and easy for schools and colleges to complete.

When rapid impact round summer 2025 launches later in April 2025, you will be able to access the application form from the rapid impact fund page.

The process, from starting your application when a funding round is open, to being notified whether you have been awarded funding, normally takes around two months.

Stage 1

The application form

When a round opens, we will provide a link to an online application form. The first part of this form asks for information such as contact details, school or college URN and your job title. Once we have confirmed that your application meets the criteria of the funding round, the form gives you an opportunity to tell us:

  • About the issue(s)/barriers that your autistic students face that this funding will address.
  • About your idea - what you want to use SCF funding for.
  • What you hope to achieve through this funding and what the impact will be for autistic students.

Take time to read the criteria against which your completed application will be judged. Your application needs to be clear, and help us to understand how it addresses these criteria. Our FAQs give you top tips about how to apply, what to consider, and the best way to answer our questions.

Stage 2

Review and decision

Here, you wait while SCF reviews your application. SCF trustees will be involved in the decision-making process. We aim to notify you of the outcome of your application within six weeks of the application deadline.

Stage 3

Payment

If you are successful, we ask you to:

  • Confirm the contact details of the person responsible for using the funding.
  • Sign our terms and conditions document (see an example here).
  • Send us your bank details.

We want you to get funding as soon as possible, and the sooner you send us the information we have requested from you, the sooner the funds will be released. This can happen quickly, we aim for this to be within ten working days of you providing all of the required information.
